EDIT: Since so many people liked the WIP version, I'll just replace that with the full version - enjoy! Fixed his face and added some nice details. Decided the smash ball was not needed. WILL SELL AT THE CON.

Of course I need to do Marth/Roy/Ike for AWA, they're the three most popular FE fellows out there and well, I'd be shooped NOT to do them. Soooo, decided to start with Marth, and I was feeling a bit ill from all of the DESU DESU MARFFF!KAWAII pics out there.

I'm having so much fun with this, trying to learn a ton from :iconionen:'s style. Hats off to you, sir! Especially for that tutorial!

I hate to disagree with you, Krad, but... he kinda is. :laughing: That said, you did a really good job with giving him some coolness. A major challenge trying to work in *ionen's style, as he's really established his style it seems. What you have here is a nice attempt at trying to adapt a bit of that style into your own work. I think Marth's overall skin tone is dark, but you've clearly done well with working with several colors and blending them in.

Commendable effort, I have to say. Looking forward to seeing how you're able to progress with this and future submissions. :)

Yeah, I find a lot of characters, well, cuter than Marth. But if I'd try to draw him, I'm sure I possibly couldn't make him look like this!
I especially like the shirt and the hand... For some reason... I think that the wrinkling of the shirt is really cool. The skin is a bit... orange for my taste, but that's just a little detail.

Don't get me wrong, it's just the one thing that throws me off is.. omg.. Marth has a manly-ish face. Even though the creators gave him a semi-girly soft face.

He's a pansy, i mean have you seen him in brawl/smash, the man fixes his hair when he poses. (that reminds me i SHOULD upload the brawl pics i keep taking. I'm like.. a camera man. With that thing.)
